SHREWSBURY TRIATHLON CLUB UK
Swim
For all-year-round swimming we have our own Friday swim session and those of Shrewsbury Masters at the Quarry pool.
The club runs an open-water swim session during the warmer weather (starting again from Wednesday 16th May, weather/water levels permitting) in the river Severn from inside the County Showground off the Berwick Road, Shrewsbury. The session is between 6.30pm & 7.30pm every Wednesday and costs club members £2, (but is open to non-members at an increased cost of £3). All participants, (even those who swam last year) must download and complete the disclaimer before attending the session so it can be handed in at the session registration. The session is limited in numbers so all persons who are intending to take part in the session must email the club clearly stating their name and ability level so the coach's can provide the appropriate session for the ability of athlete attending. This will also allow the coach's to contact them and inform them if the session has been cancelled due to the condition of the river etc. At this time wetsuits and swim caps are compulsory for this session.

We also link with our neighbouring club and join in the open water sessions in Ellesmere during the build up to Ellesmere triathlon. These open water sessions are usually Tuesday evenings during the warmer weather.
