Advance notice that the next swim block was due to start Fri 27th Aug, but due to there being a problem with lifeguard cover that session is cancelled. So new block starts Fri 3rd Sep. Cheques to Ian please marked on the rear with “Swims”. Remember that if you and your partner (must live at the same address) are both members of the club you may share the swim block, eg only one of you may attend any one session.

Torq fitness have agreed to all our members being able to purchase any of their products at special trade prices! They will also provide ongoing advice in the form of a nutrition and training booklet. In the near future they will give a talk on race/training nutrition to our members, which we will hold at Rowton Country club. More details to follow...

Advance warning that this current swim block finishes on Friday 26th March, with the new block due to start on the 2nd April. This is a bank holiday and the the pool will be closed, so the new block starts Friday 9th April. Cheques to Ian please as usual (address on Contact page) with a note on the back stating 'swimming

News Re: Open Water Swimming sessions 'Trismart' of Ellesmere are going to pick up the swimming training at Ellesmere this year. The details and cost have not yet been finalised but I am told that the first session will be Tuesday 27th April. It will be weekly through to mid September. More details to follow.

Advanced notice that we have the Velodrome booked for a track day on Sunday 16th May. This will involve a coach that will transport us all to Newport, bike hire at the track together with a track coach. It is for all levels and is open to all SYtri members and their families. More details to follow...

I will be going to the printers this week with the orders for the club kit and the printing of the logos on your tri suits so if there is anyone who has not given me the order form or kit and money for the logo printing let me know asap.

We will be taking orders for the club kit e.g. Fleeces & 'T' shirts again due to new members joining the club. Here is a link to download a letter and order form for you to complete should you require anything. (TShirts £10.00, Fleeces £15.00) SYTri_Club Kit Order_Form.doc

If the weather stays ok there will be a ride on Saturday 30/01/10 leaving the Co-op Bicton Heath at 11.30-12pm, will be for between 1.5-2hrs in length averaging approx 25kph. If you are interested let Sam know by email: sytriathlon@yahoo.com

Memberships are due at the end of January, and the start of the next block of swim sessions is 22nd. So if you are planning to swim in the next block we need membership and swim payments before the 22nd. Last swim session of this block is Fri 15th.

 

Spin/Turbo session start again Wed 6th, I have attached the list of people that I have down for it. Please check and get back to me if there is a problem or you will not be attending.

 

I will be placing another order for club 'T' shirts and Fleeces in January so if you want something get hold of a member and try on to get your size. Remember they are male on female! Also due to time it took to collect the money last time can I have a cheque with the order made out to Sytri. I am waiting for the supplier to get the 2010 price, helpfully they will be the same as that year but I will let you know as soon as I find out. Also if you need any kit printing with the logo the same deal applies, £5 per item (cash).

 

When the weather improves I will start putting out the weekend ride but they my be last minute due to the weather.
