News and this week's sessions (14.8.23)

News, news and updates

Not much news this week (which isn't a bad thing), scroll through to see pics of your club mates having a good time!

Don't forget - now would be a good time to enter Ludlow Triathlon, there are currently 18 SYTRI members on the start list and we're planning on putting up the gazebos and having a picnic/social afterwards.....bring your personal fan base too!

Jason led an excellent ride of a loop round Shrewsbury, which had plenty of points to take a short cut if you wanted to get home earlier.  Cafe stop was most welcomed at the end and we only got a little bit wet.
Thank you Jason!

Keep your eyes on emails and Facebook for this weeks ride.

MOTIVATION MONDAY!
We want to fill this space with pictures of all the adventures that members have had over the weekend, could be a race, an event, or just some cool location where you did some training.

Just the one set of adventurers for this week.....well done to you!

Don't forget to send your pics to be included for next week, or share them on the Facebook page.

Shrewsbury Triathlon

It was with very heavy hearts that the Events team have confirmed that we are unable to put on this years triathlon.  Not only did we have relatively few entrants, we also didn't have nearly enough volunteers to marshal and coordinate the race to make it safe (nearly 30 volunteers short).  The intention is to put on the race next year, so be warmed, when the date is released it might be worth putting it in your calendar and signing up for volunteer duties to make sure it can go ahead!

For those of you that have entered (or know someone who has), we've already been in contact with the entry company to get in contact with the entrants and also arrange refunds.

Want to bring a friend for free?  Did you know we offer taster sessions so potential members can try a swim, bike and run session to see if they like it before joining up.....and if they join up now, they don't have to renew until 2024!

Along with all the coached sessions (from BTF qualified coaches), there are other benefits to joining, including discounts at DMC, discounts with Torq and various discounted entries for local races....why wouldn't you?
